Merit Making

The minute you see a holy object you create infinite merits,

So no question, if you actually make prostrations,

Offerings and so forth, you create far greater merit.

extracted from the Sutra of the Mudra of Developing the Power of Devotion

Among the giving of gifts to living beings, the gift of the teaching is vastly superior to the gift of material things. Tibetan Buddhist Centre (TBC) propagates pure Dharma teachings and offers a range of meaningful and beneficial activities to help people. TBC is a non-profitable organization, we rely on the support of donors and benefactors for our services and operating expenses. Your kind generosity enables us to continuously reach out and benefit people in Singapore and around the world.

Sentient beings who do not have the fortune to actually meet the Buddha, need the holy objects of body, speech and mind as the field in which to accumulate merit. There are several ways in which to engage with the holy objects. You can make offerings, prostrations and circumambulate the holy objects that already exist. You can create holy objects that become future sources of blessings and pilgrimage to others, and you can also sponsor a holy object. All of these activities when in relation to a holy object, become incredibly powerful acts of virtue. A Buddha statue represents the holy body of a Buddha. Buddhas are invited to abide in statues through a consecration ceremony. When this is complete, the statue is an actual embodiment of the Buddha, and should be respected as such.

We have three types of Sponsorship / Donation available, read on to find out more.
